I clean for older people who cannot do it all anymore and do not want a big production about it. A basic tidy-up is fine: surfaces, vacuuming, and mopping, usually in a couple of hours flat. I also wipe the outside of appliances, including the sides and tops, so things feel properly finished. You do not need to earn the right to live in a clean space.
